2019 marks the 220th year since the birth of Alexander Pushkin, the greatest Russian poet.

Adapted from the opera “The Tale of Tsar Saltan, of His Son the Renowned and Mighty Bogatyr Prince Gvidon Saltanovich, and of the Beautiful Princess-Swan”, “Tsar Saltan” is a drama and dancing tale of love, betrayal, magic and happiness. Featuring a strong cast of Russian talented drama and dancing performers, adding the wonderful music of Russian composers makes this show is a real jam on the stage!

The story is about marriage of Tsar Saltan and the birth of his son, Prince Gvidon, who, due to the intrigues of his aunts, fall on an inhabited island, meets there a Princess Swan, with her help he became a powerful lord and reunites with his Father.

The 90-minutes long theatrical adaptation is one masterpiece that is sure to catch live at the Drama Centre! Adult actors and little performers from “Russian Language for Kids” and “Rossinochka” will take you to the world of Russian fairy-tales. Do not miss the chance to dip into Russian culture on Sunday evening.

Directed by Lioudmila Terentieva, the founder of Russian Dance studio “Rossinochka”.
