School’s out, and your child is restless? Worried that your child is not spending time productively? Why not try something new and pick up a skill at it! If you have a child aged 7 – 14 years old, these 2 fun workshops will keep you actively engaged.

Come fly with us as you learn more on drone construction and operation. Get the chance to fly drones in our indoor aerospace hangar as well as compete in a mini drone flying competition using your very own self-assembled drone! Dads and Mums, this is a great opportunity for your child to explore hands-on skills, as well as spending a fun afternoon together with you!

For ages 7 – 14 years old.

What’s covered in the 4 hours?
• Introduction to types of drones and applications
• Parts and modes of operations
• Test fly different beginner drones (simulator) to have a feel of its modes and operations
• Learn to construct a drone with provided parts
• Test fly personal *drone and practice its controls
• Put your skills to the test by flying the drone through the mini obstacle course!

* Each parent and child pair will be provided with a drone to construct and take home
* Drone flying is done indoors at the aerospace hangar

Let your creative juices flow at our Flower Jamming session and create floral art with fresh flowers! Work together with your child in our stunning floristry lab to create a memorable experience with beautiful flowers. Not to worry if it’s your first time – we have experts to guide you and your child. Be surprised by what you and your child can achieve with the flowers together!

For ages 7 – 14 years old.

What’s covered in the 3 hours?
• Introduction to types of flowers, its conditioning and storage techniques
• Create your own unique floral arrangement by selecting flowers from a wide “buffet” variety
• Introduction to other uses of flowers for art, such gift wrapping and greeting cards
• Hands-on activity to create your own mini bouquet

Admission Policy

1. Admission to venue by full ticket only. Printed or electronic tickets must be produced for admission.

2. Possession of a ticket does not reserve a specific seat position, unless otherwise stated on the ticket.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the age group of the children attending these workshops?
These workshops are for children aged 10 – 14 years old.

2. Must I attend the workshop with my child?
Every child must be accompanied by at least 1 adult. The adult can be the parent, relative or guardian etc.

3. Can 2 adults accompany 1 child for the workshop?
Yes, up to a maximum of 2 adults are allowed to be with the child for the workshop.

4. I would like to register 2 of my children for the same workshop. How much is the registration fee?
Registration fee would be based on per child. Hence, you will need to purchase 2 slots for the 2 children. At least 1 adult must be present to accompany both children.

5. Can I use SkillsFuture credits?
Unfortunately, SkillsFuture credits is not applicable.

6. Are the workshops gender specific?
We welcome any child and adult of any gender to participate in the workshops.

7. When must I register by?
The closing dates for registration are:
• For 8 June workshops: Closing date is 3 June 1159hrs.
• For 20 June workshops: Closing date is 11 June 1159hrs.

8. What happens if my child falls sick on that day and cannot attend the workshop?
Please write in to [email protected] with your child’s valid medical certificate document for a full refund. Alternatively, you can pass your ticket to another parent and child who is eligible to benefit from this workshop. 

9. Will the workshop be cancelled if there are insufficient participants?
Each workshop has a minimum number of participants to commence. If there are insufficient participants, the workshop will be cancelled. We will contact you via your provided contact details and a refund will be processed.

10. My child and I have never operated a drone before. Will it be safe if we test fly it?
This drone flying workshop is for beginners with little or no prior experience or knowledge about drones. The drones selected for this workshop is safe and suitable for beginner level.
