Neon Lights, Singapore’s premier outdoor music and arts festival, has announced the second edition of the ultra-fun, feel-good event, taking place on 26 and 27 November 2016 over six stages at Fort Canning Park. The ‘music-lovers’ festival makes its comeback after a successful debut last year, and promises a knockout weekend with headliners Foals (Saturday 26 November) and Sigur Rós (Sunday 27 November).

Saturday, 26 November – Foals

British post-punk sensation Foals arrive in Singapore- in their only show here this year - after a number of whirlwind years that has seen them shoot to the very top of “must-see acts” lists around the world.  With a critically-acclaimed album, ‘What Went Down’ released last summer, 2016 is another massive year for this super hot band.

Sunday, 27 November - Sigur Rós

The much-loved Icelandic experimental rock band Sigur Rós returns to Singapore for the first time since their sold-out debut concert in 2012 and this will be their only show in South East Asia this year. Both bands will be playing full sets at the festival.

The full music and arts line-up will be announced in July. Described as “the best and most well-run festival of 2015” by Popspoken, Neon Lights 2016 promises two days of must-experience interactive art, fun performance, thoughtful conversations, great food, and of course, oodles of outstanding music.

Festival Tips

1. You should bring plenty of sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, mosquito spray, and a raincoat if weather indicates.

2. The use of earplugs or ear protectors is recommended if long-term hearing loss is of concern to you. The Promoter will not be held liable for any hearing damage or loss.

3. Avoid dehydration - remember to drink water.

4. You should bring adequate cash for the whole day. There are no ATMs (cash machines) on site.

5. In order to maintain the Festival as a Clean and Green event, the Promoter encourages all patrons to utilise the recycling and refuse facilities provided throughout the site. It's your site: keep it clean!

6. Although it’s the last on our list it’s probably the most important. A GOOD ATTITUDE is a crucial component of having a great time. Be kind and thoughtful towards your fellow festival-goers and remember they are just trying to have a good time just like you. Report any anti-social behavior to festival staff and contact security, First Aid or any staff member if you need any assistance. We are here to help.
